Hello Chilliwack Branch members!
I hope this finds everyone well and having enjoyed their summer. Fall will soon be upon us though and that means your board will be meeting to formalize plans for activities which will be announced in due course.
British Columbia has an election coming up on Oct. 19, 2024. It's important to be informed and to get out and vote. There will be a number of ways for members to get involved in the campaign. Learn more on the Federal Retirees British Columbia Votes campaign webpage.
Please be aware that the Canada Life dental plan will not be in effect until Nov. 1, 2024. Until that time please continue to send claims to Sun Life. Dental accounts will be reimbursed on Jan. 1 of 2025. This means if your Sun Life account is depleted it will stay that way until Jan. 1. Please note Canada Life is in the process of completing positive enrolment for members and you should receive an email from them confirming this. If you do not please contact Canada Life to enquire.
We will be hosting our annual Christmas party so stay tuned for details later in the fall. It’s always a good time!
In the meantime stay healthy and enjoy the early fall weather. Please as always reach out if your Board can assist.
P.S. We are always looking for volunteers!
Sincerely,
Carol Kayser
President
