Whether it’s protecting your health benefits or advising on pensions, federal retirees are represented on a variety of government committees, advisory bodies, councils and boards by pensioner representatives. Pensioner representatives work closely with the Association to ensure our members’ pension and health priorities are heard.
Federal Retirees is excited to share two new volunteer opportunities for our members:
- Pensioner representative (public service) on the Pensioners’ Dental Services Plan (PDSP) Board
- Pensioner representative on the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSPIB) Nominating Committee
These roles are voluntary and not remunerated (travel arrangements for meetings are reimbursed pursuant to Government of Canada travel and hospitality guidelines). The PSPIB – Nominating Committee position is for a 5-year term, while the PDSP Board position is for a 3-year term. We are looking for Federal Retirees members who are in receipt of a public service pension, with knowledge of pensions and/or health benefits and the ability to think strategically. We are also seeking members of equity and diversity groups.
