Call for nominations

2024-2026 board of directors

The Calgary & District Branch's annual meeting is scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hotel Blackfoot in Calgary.

Some current directors on the board are stepping down, while others’ terms are expiring. There are:

  • Six anticipated positions to be filled by the election of directors for the 2024-2026 term.
  • Three directors whose terms are expiring are standing for re-election.
  • Three nominations are required for the remaining positions. Specifically, there is a need for a treasurer and an events co-ordinator.

Role descriptions for all director positions and friends of the board are available on the branch website.

This is your opportunity to support the Calgary & District Branch and the National Association of Federal Retirees which, works tirelessly to protect your pension and benefits and to advocate for all retirees.

There are a variety of opportunities in which you could contribute based on your availability, interests and skill set:

  • Advocacy
  • Membership
  • Finance
  • Communications and social media
  • Event planning (luncheons/presentations)
  • Veterans

Outreach to members outside of Calgary (Airdrie, Banff/Canmore, Chestermere, Cochrane, Drumheller, Okotoks and Strathmore)

We ask that you give serious consideration to supporting your branch and put your name forward for a position on the board of directors or as a friend of the board.
